Dear friends,
Time has moved so quickly, and I am happy to introduce this journal issue to you. It is hard to imagine that it is already issue # 20 (!), and I am filled with joy to see that we have accumulated readers in every continent and almost in every country on earth.
This edition has been prepared in cooperation with the Center “Educational Search” (Pedagogichesky Poisk, www.ppoisk.com) and a number of educational journals published by this Center. Among them are such popular as “A scientific-methodological journal of the school deputy principal,” “A Homeroom Teacher,” “Management of the Modern School,” etc. I am happy to introduce our guest editor for this issue – Professor Vladimir Lizinsky, a person who is blessed with a brilliant mind, deep intuition, and a great sense of humor, and who is sharing his reflection and attitude towards many new processes happening in Russian education today in the two papers published in this issue. His irony, unusual way of thinking and manner of writing will never leave you indifferent.
All the rest of the papers except for the work of our regular contributor, a famous specialist in history of education, Professor Mikhail Boguslavsky, and an American researcher of Russian education Professor Anatoly Rapoport, are chosen and prepared for publication by Vladimir Lizinsky. We are happy to greet our old author – Dr. Pavel Stepanov from the Russian Academy of Education and a few new but well-known authorities in Russian education – Dr. Valeriia Veselova, Professor Mikhail Voropaev, and Dr. Dmitry Grigoryev. There is also quite an interesting paper composed by a famous Moscow teacher Sergey Gorbushin about educational aspects of teaching physics. Regardless of differences in the level of analysis and reflection, methodologies and points of view, every author is clearly concerned about the future of education and the younger generation of Russia.
Although the editorial board does not necessarily share the opinions of the authors whose papers are published here but we are always ready to give them the space to express their points of view.
As usual, we look forward to receiving your comments and ideas.
Always yours,
Tatyana Tsyrlina-Spady
