Dr. , a prominent pediatrician and hospital administrator who provided pediatric services in Pointe St. Charles, Little Burgundy, Caughnawaga, Baffin Island, and Québec's Great North, and participated in the creation of the University of Nairobi’s School of Medicine (Kenya). Upon returning to Montréal, he became Director of Ambulatory Services at the Montréal Children's Hospital and was soon promoted Director General for two terms. Dr. Steinmetz continues to be involved in the development of community social pediatrics and participates in the work of various Boards in the field of healthcare. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
